Studio Marianne Guély - "Plissé"

“Plissé” is an artistic collaboration with the Studio Marianne Guély. Their paper sculpture served as the starting point for a short visual story in which the material slowly comes to life. We imagined a world built from folds, textures and light, and shaped a narrative that reveals the quiet movement hidden inside the paper.

To create this atmosphere, we combined live action with layers of hand-crafted paper, cut-outs and textured surfaces. Each shot was composed as a collage, allowing real and fabricated elements to merge into a single image. This mix of materials gives the film its rhythm and its sense of fragility, turning the sculpture into a character that evolves within its own graphic space.

Our work focused on film direction, art direction and animation, following the intuitive, delicate spirit of the Studio’s creation while giving it a cinematic presence.
